Have you seen our latest DIY Cellulite Reduction Soap post on Instagram!
This is a great way to get creative and enjoy the process of making something with your own two hands. All you need are a few items to get started. You'll need a soap base ( goat milk, shea butter or a clear soap base), natural ingredients like essential oils ( tea tree, oregano, geranium, grapefruit, lavender and juniper), massage soap mold and a funnel to melt and mix all of your ingredients!
What is a massage soap bar?
Massage soap bars are specially designed soaps that are used to provide a luxurious, therapeutic massage. These bars contain a variety of natural ingredients that work together to relax tense muscles, nourish and moisturize the skin, and provide an overall sense of wellbeing. Massage soap bars are a great way to give yourself a spa-like experience in the comfort of your own home.
Materials
Knife
Cutting Board
Microwavable Bowl
Let's get started!
Step 1 – Cut the soap base into cubes
Using a cutting board and knife, chop the soap base into cubes so that it will melt faster in the microwave.
Step 2 – Melt the soap base
Place the cubes into a microwaveable safe bowl. I like to use a funnel measuring cup because it's easier for pouring the melted soap base into the soap mold.
Place the bowl into the microwave and heat for 30 second increments until the soap base is completely melted.
Step 3 – Add essential oils
Add 6-8 drops of your favorite essential oil to the melted soap base and stir. ( tea tree, oregano, geranium, grapefruit, lavender and juniper)
Step 4 – Pour soap into mold
Now that the soap base is ready, you can pour it into the massage mold.
Step 5 – Remove bubbles
To remove the bubbles from the top of the soap, spray with rubbing alcohol, once you do that the bubbles with disappear.
Step 6 – Let the soap cure
Allow the soap to cure for a few hours.
Using your massage soap bar is easy! First, wet your hands and the bar of soap with warm water. Next, gently rub the massage soap bar nodules, on the areas of concern ( stomach, legs, etc) to create a lather. The massage will help to cleanse and exfoliate your skin, leaving it feeling soft and refreshed.
